The States Project is changing the game

As highlighted by CNN, The States Project is changing the game when it comes to political giving. Our grassroots giving program, Giving Circles, is where everyday folks, especially women, have built unprecedented political power.

The data is clear: while nationally women represent less than 33 percent of donors at the state level, that’s not the story at The States Project. 

Women have contributed 72% of all TSP Giving Circle dollars raised82% of TSP Giving Circle leaders are women75% of TSP Giving Circle donors are women 

Giving Circles account for the vast majority of donors contributing to TSP’s work since 2017. Built by the Giving Circle Leaders who stepped up to harness the power of their networks, TSP’s GC community is 20,000 donors strong. 

How do Giving Circles work? People who want to help us win majorities in state legislatures raise their hands, and we provide them with the training, tools, and support needed to reach out to their own families, friends, and neighbors to organize an impactful total.
